Aerotrans and PGN Strategic Cooperation MOU for the Use of Natural Gas (BBG) Fuel for Aerotrans Operational Vehicles and Other Strategic Cooperation

 

On February 5, 2025, an MOU was signed between PT Aerotrans Services Indonesia (Aerotrans) and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara, Tbk (PGN), a strategic step in improving operational efficiency and energy savings that can be achieved through the application of Gas Fuel (BBG) technology while supporting the Sustanability Program in the form of reducing the impact of carbon emissions in the world of transportation.

 

For Aerotrans, the collaboration with PGN also opens up other business cooperation opportunities. The cooperation that will be built is the opening of a Gas Fuel Filling Station (SPBG) on Aerotrans jurumudi land as the only SPBG filling location in the Airport Area. For PGN, of course, it can expand the gas distribution network and increase the infrastructure capacity needed to support the adoption of gas in the transportation sector. 

Another alternative to the development of natural gas is used to generate electricity through power plants, such as generators or microturbines where this can be used as an alternative to electricity reserves for the Garuda Group or for kitchen needs at Aerofood.

In addition, this cooperation can be expanded with joint financing and marketing of operational vehicles for corporate and retail needs and cooperation with PGN's operational vehicle auction center.
